Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG)

On July 2, 2023, the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG) – the German implementation of the so-called EU Whistleblower Directive – came into force.

The aim of this law is to protect people who have obtained information about violations during their professional activities and report them.

Reference can be made to human rights and environmental risks, violations of human rights or environmental obligations, as well as unethical business practices that arise from the economic activities of STEA Stahl- und Metallbau GmbH or in the supply chain.

We have joined the common reporting office of the guilds at the Cham District Crafts Association, in accordance with Section 14 HinSchG, to better protect those who provide information. Information or complaints can be submitted via the following reporting channels:

The tasks of the joint reporting office are based on the provisions of Section 2, Subsection 2 of the HinSchG.

This includes, in particular, the receipt of reports from whistleblowers, the processing of tips in compliance with existing deadlines and data protection regulations while maintaining the secrecy and confidentiality of reports, as well as the provision of information and advice on the scope of the HinSchG

 

All complaints and reports will be handled confidentially and in strict compliance with the
